The Outcomes Architect is a strategic advisory firm, that executes across
sectors to optimize leadership, leverage relationships, and gather insights to

DEANNA L. MINUS-VINCENT, MPA

DeAnna Minus-Vincent has tackled the toughest issues plaguing our country today—equity, poverty, housing, health, and education, just to name a few. DeAnna has created programs that move individuals along their pathway, but believes that the most sustainable change happens when we work across sectors to re-engineer fractured systems; in so doing we can exponentially impact the lives of many and create sustainable change. DeAnna is noted for not just programmatic and policy prowess, but for scaling organizations—she has transformed entities and dramatically increased revenue, service regions, as well as product mix.

Drawing from a broad range of lived and learned experiences, DeAnna Minus-Vincent current acts as the Founder and Managing Partner of The Outcomes Architect, an advisory organization intent on working across sectors to intentionally integrate services and reimagine how health is addressed and services are delivered. In this role, DeAnna serves as a key advisory for several non-profit, philanthropic, health tech, and trade organizations as they seek to create equitable solutions that advance whole-person care.

Immediately prior to this role, DeAnna served as Executive Vice President, and the inaugural Chief Social Justice and Accountability Officer for RWJBarnabas Health. DeAnna designed a comprehensive strategic framework to improve health outcomes, promote health equity and eliminate health disparities. The development of Ending Racism Together, employed data-driven methodologies to improve organizational culture and reduce healthcare costs. Additionally, DeAnna designed Health Beyond the Hospital which integrated social factors into the clinical setting by overcoming barriers for both providers and patients using a multi-modal social determinants of health screening tool, paired with patient-centered outreach and follow -up. Before her tenure at RWJBarnabas Health, DeAnna served for more than seven years as the Chief Engagement Officer at Benefits Data Trust (BDT), a national social change organization, where she facilitated cross-sector partnerships,
diversified the organization’s revenue streams and oversaw the organization’s strategic positioning. Additionally, was appointed by Governor James E. McGreevey as the Assistant Commissioner for the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs overseeing community development, division on women, Center for Hispanic Policy, and many administrative functions.

DeAnna serves on the board of trustees of The Root Cause Coalition, Corporation for Supportive Housing and Women @NJPAC. DeAnna has been recognized by ROI-NJ as an Influencer of Color, an Influencer in Healthcare, and an Influencer in Business. Most recently, Ms. Minus-Vincent was recognized by the NJ Chamber of Commerce for her innovative business practices.

DeAnna received a Master of Public Administration from Rutgers University, and a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from Morgan State University, a historically Black university. DeAnna is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration with a concentration in Leadership and Innovation. Born and raised in Trenton, New Jersey DeAnna lives in Lumberton with her husband, Daryl and daughter, Darynn.

TRACY PARRIS-BENJAMIN, LMSW, FHELA

Tracy Parris-Benjamin is a master’s-level licensed Social Worker, integrator, and equity champion, who works to sustain support for advancing diversity, equity, accessibility, inclusion, and development. Ms. Parris-Benjamin holds a distinguished record of health care innovation and transformation. With the primary goal of achieving equitable health for all.

Ms. Parris-Benjamin currently acts as the Managing Partner of The Outcomes Architect, In this role, Ms. Parris-Benjamin serves as a key advisor for nonprofit, philanthropic and health systems as they seek to create equitable solutions that advance whole-person care.

Immediately prior to this role, Ms. Parris-Benjamin served as the Senior Director of Health Equity and Community Health at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, translating executive strategy into tactical implementation, designing and operationalizing health equity frameworks and blueprints to raise awareness and impart the need for cultural organizational shifts. Ms. Parris-Benjamin served as a motivator and strategic advisor to change practices, shifting equity work from sole mission based practice to a business imperative. While developing processes to eliminate health disparities endured by marginalized populations. In addition she led a broad variety of community health initiatives and care models addressing health inequities and the long standing impact on communities. Ms. Parris-Benjamin also worked with Horizon’s extensive value-based network leading the development of payer/provider integration work.

Ms. Parris-Benjamin’s experience demonstrates her work as an advocate for community-based programs and other healthcare initiatives. She led several workgroups and discussions around increased awareness and stigma reduction of substance use disorders and has championed programs for HIV-positive pregnant teens and their families, survivors of domestic violence, individual and group counseling, parenting workshops to reunite families, and care coordination for underrepresented and chronically ill persons. She promotes the need for increased cognizance on the impact of health disparities and inequities in healthcare, for underrepresented populations and persons of color.

In 2019, Ms. Parris-Benjamin received distinguished honors from Diversity MBA as one of the Top leaders under 50 and was featured in the 2020 inaugural issue of the top 100 Women of Influence. She has led the development and implementation of Peer-Recovery models and served as a key speaker for the Partnership for a Drug Free NJ’s ‘Knock Opioid Out of New Jersey’ Initiative. She is a fellow of the New Jersey Healthcare Executives Leadership Academy and was voted into Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of NJ 85th Anniversary Hall of Fame. Ms. Parris-Benjamin was featured on WBGO radio, where she led a discussion on trauma informed care and has often served as a panelist for discussions related to impending social determinants of health. She was featured on NJ Spotlight where she raised awareness on the importance of community engagement to mobilize health education, specifically around COVID-19 and access to resources in high-risk communities.

Ms. Parris-Benjamin is recognized, by her colleagues, as a strong leader and role model. She has engaged in several formal and informal mentor relationships. She is passionate about helping others and bringing awareness to topics and challenges that affect the lives of many. Through her work on Horizon’s Diversity Counsel she led efforts to raise awareness on racial injustices and systemic structures that promote healthcare disparities and racial inequities. Ms. Parris-Benjamin served on the boards for the Northern NJ Region American Heart Association and the Greater Newark Healthcare Coalition. As President of the Northern NJ Region Board of the American Heart Association 2022-2023 and Chair for the Go Red for Women 2021-2022, she was responsible for raising awareness on the importance of Heart and Stroke health through various speaking engagements, fundraising and developing innovative collaborations to expand treatments opportunities, research and prevention with a keen interest in vulnerable communities. She remains a strong advocate for the American Heart Association today.

Through her work, Ms. Parris-Benjamin has witnessed the importance and value of investing in a community and devotes time to volunteering. She has supported many projects, such as community garden restorations, fundraising to support homeless teens, women’s empowerment seminars and other activities in conjunction with local churches and community board organizations, to name a few.

When she is not tackling social issues within healthcare, Ms. Parris-Benjamin enjoys spending time with her family. She is a cherished wife, and mother of two school-aged children. She is also an entrepreneur and proud business owner of a children’s entertainment venture that focuses on developing confidence in children and young adults.

Ms. Parris-Benjamin holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Social Work from St. John’s University and a master’s in social work from Fordham University.
